My Grandmother sent back her reply card and will officially not be going to our wedding. I'm really sad about this because I am the first of her grandchildren to get married. I think it would have been special for her to get to attend one of her grandkids weddings. She's very sick, though and the option of flying is right out the door. I'll have her in my thoughts, wishing she could attend.

It's odd, I'm the first in this generation on both sides of my family to get married and there are three older cousins than me. Two of them are gorgeous, sucessful, interesting women. I think it's that they actually want to marry someone jewish so it's taking them a damn long time to find someone they both love *and* is jewish.

Although you'll also have an official wedding photographer (I recall reading about that), have you considered videoing it as well, so you could send a copy to folk (such as your grandma) who can't come?

There is something about videography that is just very cheesy. And it's an expense we're just not up for.

We're not getting a professional video done, but we're going to ask someone in my family with a video camera to just set it up so that my brother can see it.

Win could probably borrow his sister's digital camcorder, as he did for his friend's wedding in April. he was going to edit it and make it very nice for them, so he could probably do that for you guys too. :)

Win's a groomsmen. Though maybe LeGrand or Tristan would be willing to record the ceremony. We really only need a few parts, ceremony, getting introduced, first and last dances, cake cutting and I think that's it. Ask Win and don't tell him you already mentioned it to me...
